I’m Ronny. I fix broken search visibility.
Northbound Technical is me — not an agency, not a team of account managers, not a ticket queue. When you book a call, you get the person who will diagnose your site. When the work starts, the person you talked to is the person doing it. Houston, Texas. Central time.
21 years on the owner’s side of the table
For 21 years I owned and operated a multimillion-dollar e-commerce business. Not as a consultant advising from the outside — as the operator, with revenue, payroll, and two decades of accumulated rankings riding on every technical decision. I built the site, ran the marketing, managed the platform migrations, read the Search Console reports, and answered for the results, because the results were my income.
That changes how you see this work. An agency loses a client’s rankings and writes a report. An owner loses rankings and doesn’t make payroll. I’ve only ever done this work with owner’s stakes.
The disasters that built this practice
Twice in those 21 years, my own search visibility collapsed — and both times, there was no one to escalate to.
The first was a Google penalty that gutted rankings I’d spent years earning. I learned Search Console forensics, backlink audits, and the disavow process because I had to — and clawed the rankings back.
The second was a site rebuild that went wrong. The new site looked better and performed worse every week. I diagnosed it myself: crawl comparisons, redirect audits, template forensics. Found what broke. Fixed it. Recovered.
Those two recoveries — done under fire, on my own business, with my own money at stake — are the entire basis of Northbound Technical. Not a certification. Not a course. A survived disaster and the diagnostic discipline that came out of it.
What I believe
Google loves text. People love images. I’ve said it for years, and the AI era has only made it more true. Structure, copy, and clean technical signals are what get you found — by Google and by the answer engines deciding what to recommend. That’s why this site has no stock photos of people around conference tables, and neither will yours.
Diagnose first, fix second. Guessing is expensive. Every engagement starts with evidence — your data, your crawl, your history — before anything gets touched.
You work directly with me. No handoffs, no juniors learning on your account, no offshore ticket queue. The person who finds the problem fixes the problem.
When something’s broken, the clock matters
If your traffic has collapsed — after a redesign, a migration, or a Google update — every week of guessing is a week added to your recovery. Thirty minutes tells you whether it’s fixable and what fixing it looks like.
Talk to the person who’ll actually do the work.
